Gen Z’s gut reaction to AI
In school and work, young adults have a complicated relationship with the technology they’re using every day
In recent listening sessions, we’ve asked participants how they feel about the state of things in the U.S. Our goal is to track their responses to the same set of questions over time to see if and how their attitudes shift.
The questions range from politics and civic engagement, to gender dynamics, the economy, and of course – AI.
We expected the questions around AI to be a slow burn, with insights building over time. But the baseline responses are already noteworthy.
We started out with a simple prompt: “When I think about AI, the first feeling that comes to mind is…”
One respondents’ one-word reply seems to perfectly sum up how many others feel:
“Concern.”
