ICYMI, I went live this afternoon with
, author of The Sunday Setup newsletter and USA Today best seller, The Setback Cycle. If you watched live, you likely witnessed the glitch at the end of the stream (and you’ll notice this in the final cut, too). I’m so sorry! We didn’t get to finish our conversation, so look out from more from us down the line…As a Forbes contributor, Amy wrote a fascinating op-ed last week titled: “Has The Backlash To Hustle Culture Gone Too Far?” I was quoted in the piece, and today, Amy (a millennial) and I (a member of Gen Z) discussed the shifting conversation around hustle culture, traditionalism, and ambition — for young women especially.
Let’s be real: Gen Z women aren’t rejecting ambition, it just looks different for our generation. And while trad wife content is buzzy, there's more to the story than what meets the eye on TikTok.
Young women today are building careers as self-starters and entrepreneurs while actively setting boundaries and protecting their wellbeing. From what I hear in my listening sessions, it’s clear that Gen Z women don’t feel they have to pick one or the other, and in fact, they’re prioritizing both. Grinding and grounding isn’t just normalized, it's expected.
But I'm curious what you think? How is Gen Z reshaping hustle culture?
Thank you for joining us, and if you missed it, hope to see you next time :)
