Running for office as resistance, with Amanda Litman

A live conversation with Run For Something's Amanda Litman about generational divides in politics — from renting to healthcare and AI.

ICYMI, I went live with Run For Something’s

to discuss the shocking number of young progressives interested in running for office and high energy from this demo in what’s typically considered a political “off-year.” Btw, I think that term is totally outdated.

Amanda is the powerhouse force behind Run For Something, which recruits and supports young progressives running for state and local office, and the author of two books, ‘When We’re in Charge: The Next Generation’s Guide to Leadership,’ and ‘Run for Something: A Real-Talk Guide to Fixing the System.’

We chat about a generational divide brewing between renters and owners and why more political candidates should have personal experience with today’s problems — from healthcare to education, and yes, renting their home.

Thank you for joining us, and if you missed it, hope to see you next time :)
